Helping Children, Teens, and Adults With Anxiety, Trauma, and ADHD

WELCOME!

Your child’s anxiety and ADHD are getting the best of you. You’ve tried everything; read all the books, listened to podcasts, asked in Facebook groups. Things might change temporarily, but then you’re back at square one. You’re confused and worried. I get it, parenting is hard. Especially when you throw in things like trauma, ADHD, or anxiety. I’m here to help.

I’m Amy and I’m a counselor in Austin, TX specializing in children, teens, and adults with histories of trauma, anxiety, and neurodiversity/ADHD.

Please have a look around, and if I sound like a good fit, complete the form on the Contact page and I will be in touch!

Specialties

Anxiety

Anxiety can make everyday life feel overwhelming, whether it shows up as racing thoughts, tension, or constant worry. Therapy provides tools to calm your mind and body while also addressing the deeper roots of anxiety. Together, we’ll work toward confidence, balance, and greater peace of mind.

Trauma and PTSD

Trauma can leave memories and emotions feeling stuck, showing up as anxiety, self-doubt, or feeling “on edge.” EMDR therapy helps reprocess those memories in a healthier way, reducing distress and creating space for healing. You don’t have to relive the past to move forward with strength and calm.

ADHD

ADHD brings both strengths and challenges. While it can make focus, organization, and emotions harder to manage, it also comes with creativity, curiosity, and unique ways of thinking. In therapy, we’ll explore how your brain works, build strategies that fit your life, and reduce the shame or frustration that often comes with ADHD.

Compassionate therapy, in person or virtual

Whether you prefer the comfort and accessibility of virtual or the connection of a face-to-face session, in-person sessions are in Buda (just south of Austin), and secure virtual appointments are available for all residents of Texas.

I am committed to practicing cultural humility in every session. This means I approach our work together with openness, curiosity, and respect for your unique experiences and identities. I recognize that each person’s story is shaped by culture, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, ability, and more, and I strive to create a space where all aspects of who you are are honored and supported. My goal is to walk alongside you, continually learning and unlearning, so that therapy feels affirming, safe, and empowering.
