Anxiety and Therapy
Anxiety is something we all experience at times, but when worry, fear, or overthinking start to take over daily life, it can feel exhausting and overwhelming. Anxiety might show up as racing thoughts, difficulty sleeping, trouble concentrating, stomachaches, or a constant sense of dread. For kids, teens, and adults, it can make school, work, relationships, and even simple daily tasks feel harder than they should.
Sometimes anxiety develops after stressful or traumatic experiences. Other times, it’s linked to perfectionism, ADHD, or simply a brain that’s wired to be “on alert.” No matter the cause, the impact can leave you or your child feeling stuck, irritable, or like you’re always bracing for something to go wrong.
How Therapy Can Help
Therapy offers a safe space to slow down, make sense of anxious thoughts, and learn tools to calm the body and mind. Together, we can:

Identify the patterns of worry and fear that fuel anxiety.

Practice coping skills for calming overwhelming thoughts and emotions.

Build confidence in facing challenges and uncertainty.

Address the deeper roots of anxiety, such as self-criticism, trauma, or pressure to be “perfect.”
