Hi, I'm Amy

I believe healing happens in safe, trusting relationships — and that includes the one you have with your therapist. I offer a compassionate, empathetic, non-judgemental approach and often use humor to connect with my clients. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of where to start. That’s why I’m here: to walk alongside you as you make sense of what’s going on inside and begin to reconnect with yourself.

About Me

I am a 5th generation Texan and second generation Austinite. I grew up not really feeling like I fit in or understanding who I was.  However, I was always deeply interested in people; why they do the things they do, and hearing their stories. This lead to studying advertising and sociology at Texas State University and then a career in sales where I used my genuine curiosity about people to build relationships. After 6 years in the profession, though, I was becoming burnt out and cynical. Following my own experience in therapy I realized I was in the wrong career and wanted to make a change.

I decided to trust my instincts and become a counselor. Throughout my master’s program and since I have enjoyed working with folks with various levels of trauma histories, anxiety, and those falling under the neurodiversity umbrella. I find I also really enjoy working with kiddos who were like me growing up; anxious, unsure of themselves, or “different”.

In my spare time I enjoy being with my family, going out in nature, or cuddling up with a bowl of ice cream and a good TV show or book.
